Susan Kirby has been with UVA for 32 years having joined Internal Audit in 1988. Starting as a staff auditor, Susan was promoted to senior auditor in 1992 and then to audit manager in 2007. Susan’s years in audit have allowed her to gain valuable experience in many areas throughout the University, including the UVA Medical Center. Prior to joining UVA, Susan served as a student intern at the Department of Defense Office of Assistant Inspector General. Susan currently serves as a member of the Supervisory Committee of the University of Virginia Community Credit Union. She has provided her audit expertise in that position since 2004. Susan received a BS in Accounting from James Madison University (1987) and holds the Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Government Financial Manager designations.
