Patel Sanjay

Sanjay joined UVA Internal Audit in 2026 and brings a wide range of experience in internal audit, public accounting, and healthcare operations. Before coming to UVA, he served as Chief Operating Officer of a 10-provider OB-GYN group in Fredericksburg, Virginia, which was later acquired by Mary Washington Medical Group. He began his career at Deloitte after graduating from the University of Maryland in 1997 and later held internal audit roles with The Washington Post Company and Kmart/Sears Holding Company. Outside of work, Sanjay is the proud father of two Hoos, including one who graduated in 2026.
